OWN applications and token acquisition

Consider an LTO route for your own token, or propose a useful role for OWN on your platform. The Foundation supports the growth of OWN’s ecosystem; the relevant company and operator remain responsible for each service and contract.

This guide helps you shape the idea. Contact channels are still being prepared; no proposal can be submitted through this site yet.

Your token and an LTO route

Your company brings the token and its holder proposition. A chosen platform or provider brings the acquisition arrangement.

BitLease operates the OWN Access Plan. For your own token, you may consider BitLease or another operator under its own terms. Prepare the token purpose, intended users, holder rights and proposed payment commitment, and identify which responsibilities remain to be agreed.

The OWN example does not establish that an operator will accept your token or that it will share the OWN Access Pool. Read about the Pool and related arrangements at BitLease Capital; another token needs its own terms.

OWN on your platform

The Foundation cares about OWN’s future and supports the growth of its ecosystem. A platform, product or community can prepare a proposal for a useful role for OWN within that work.

Explain what users could do, why OWN belongs in the experience, what your platform would provide and what needs agreement with the Foundation or another party.

For example, a proposal might examine access, participation, verified token identity or a clearly defined utility within a different service. Projects involving other digital assets, physical assets, gold-linked products or regulated securities would need to establish their own legal rights, permissions and operational arrangements. They are areas for research, not existing OWN rights or announced integrations.

An integration remains a proposal until its technical, contractual and operational requirements are established.

Different proposals ask different questions

If the asset is your token

Define the token, what holders receive, the intended payment experience and the operator you would work with. Your company and chosen operator establish the applicable terms and responsibilities.

If the asset is OWN

Explain your platform, the role you propose for OWN and the benefit for its users. The Foundation’s ecosystem support is distinct from the platform’s responsibility for its services and customer contracts. Technical integration still requires its own work and agreement.

Identify the route in your brief so the asset and responsible party are clear.

What an OWN ecosystem idea might explore

Clearer information and education
Help people understand OWN’s identity, supply and participation terms through accurately sourced explanations.
A meaningful role in a product
A proposed use with defined features, user rights, dependencies and responsibilities to investigate.
Tools and research
Propose verification tools or wallet-compatibility research with a defined question, testable output and evidence plan.
Connect access with utility
A useful feature paired with a clear acquisition route, without assuming the Foundation provides that acquisition.

These are directions for proposing ideas, not announcements of available functions, partner platforms, grants or supported integrations.

What to include in a collaboration proposal

A short brief can explain the idea before a full technical specification exists:

  1. Who you are

Briefly explain your organisation, team or platform and its relevant experience.

  2. Which route you mean

Are you considering an LTO route for your own token, or a potential use of OWN on your platform? Name the proposed operator where known.

  3. Who benefits

Identify the intended people and the problem or opportunity you are trying to address.

  4. What the asset does

State the token's actual rights or the proposed role of OWN, separating documented facts from ideas.

  5. What you need and how you will test it

Identify the support you would seek, the evidence or prototype needed to test the idea, and the technical, contractual, privacy or operational questions still open.

Mark unresolved dependencies clearly. Describe proposed features as proposals.

For a DeFi research proposal, a bounded starting point could be a read-only tool that traces OWN’s contract identity and movements, with source links and test results. Describe the user need, data limits and dependencies. This is an illustrative proposal, with no implied integration, liquidity provision, yield or commitment of Foundation assets.

Prepare a Foundation enquiry

Collaboration begins with clear responsibilities

The relevant parties must assess feasibility and agree their responsibilities. The Foundation does not automatically become another product's operator, lessor, issuer or guarantor.

An invitation establishes no partnership, approval, integration timetable or commercial arrangement.

Questions about working together

Is OWN already integrated with other platforms?

This website does not announce any such integration. The invitation is to explore potential future uses. Actual integrations require separate evidence and an authorised announcement.

Can the Foundation promise that an operator will offer our token?

No. The company and chosen operator must agree their own arrangement. The Foundation’s support for OWN’s ecosystem does not approve another operator’s offer or guarantee acceptance.

Does an idea need to include a completed technical build?

Not to be understandable as a proposal. Begin with the user, the proposed use, the parties involved and the questions that would need to be answered before implementation.

Does a collaboration invitation mean funding is available?

No funding programme or grant entitlement is offered by this page. Any future arrangement would need its own terms and authority.
