Build a token on LTO.

With Lease-to-Own, people pay over time and own with the last installment. A token built for it opens your business to more owners.

What Lease-to-Own is

Lease-to-Own (LTO) is a conditional sale. A down payment opens the contract, installments follow on agreed dates, and ownership passes once the last one is paid. Until then, the contract sets out the terms and the record keeps every step.

More access, more owners

  • Buying in installments. No one needs the whole price on the first day.
  • Paying over time. What remains owed steps down with each installment.
  • Fair terms. The terms are written before anyone starts, and they are the same for everyone in an offer.

Lease-to-Own, step by step

Step through one contract. Each installment brings what remains owed down a step, and the last one closes the ring. What was leased is now the participant’s own.

Illustrative

Illustrative: one Lease-to-Own contract of twelve installments. A real offer sets its own term, down payment and installments.

Your token, built for LTO

A model is the way a company or a group opens its ownership. It brings its shares, and we build the token: fixed rules, issued once, ready for Lease-to-Own, so people who could not pay the whole price at once can take part.

The model names who does what, writes the terms before the start and records each step. It can be repeated for other companies and other assets. OWN with BitLease is the first.

Four roles
RoleWhat it does
The sharesWhat a company or group opens to more owners.
The tokenRecords each share, with fixed rules that anyone can check.
The Lease-to-Own platformRuns each contract, from its first payment to its last.
The issuer and recordIssues the token once and keeps the record true.

What makes a model good

Four tests, asked of every proposal:

  • Purpose. What does it serve?
  • Operator. Who runs it, responsibly?
  • Terms. Is every payment, and the moment of ownership, clear before anyone takes part?
  • Evidence. Can each step be checked?

From share to owner

  1. A brass compass rests on an old box beside other brass instruments.

    Choose what to open.

Which shares, for whom, and why?

  2. A fountain pen writes a line of handwriting on lined paper.

    Write the terms first.

Supply, allocation and the Lease-to-Own terms, set before anything starts.

  3. A brass padlock closes the latch of an old wooden door.

    Issue the token once.

The contract holds the rules, and they stay.

  4. Old stone steps edged with moss and fallen leaves climb a slope.

    Offer it by Lease-to-Own.

People take part on the terms written first.

  5. A wooden boardwalk leads through green grass toward the bright sun.

    Record each step.

Every event has a date and a link anyone can follow.

  6. A door stands open from a dim wooden room onto a bright garden, its light falling across the floor.

    Ownership with the last installment.

What was leased becomes the participant’s own, and the record shows it.

Where it runs: the BitLease Platform

A Lease-to-Own model runs on a platform. The BitLease Platform runs Lease-to-Own contracts, and it can operate the offer for your token: the contract, the wallet and ledger, servicing and settlement. Your offer runs as a Special Deal: as its sponsor or Lessor, you commit the inventory and fix its terms. The person taking part contracts with BitLease and keeps every protection the platform gives. An offer may be stricter than the common rules, never looser. BitLease decides on each offer on its own terms.

Before you take part

  • Read the terms of the offer. Every payment, the term and the moment ownership passes are written before you start.
  • Know who runs the contract. The platform operator is named in the terms, and you contract with it.
  • Check the token. Its address and rules are in the issuer’s record, and only that address is the token.
  • Know what you will own. What a token represents depends on its model and its terms. OWN by itself gives no ownership of any asset.

Where OWN works.

OWN is the first token built for LTO. It is offered by Lease-to-Own on the BitLease Platform, its first place to work, and it is that platform’s utility token.

The BitLease Platform

BitLease Technology Ltd builds and runs the BitLease Platform for digital-asset leasing.

OWN Access is the route into OWN through an accepted installment arrangement, the OWN Access Plan, whose model is Lease-to-Own. The participant contracts with BitLease Technology, which operates the Plan.

Lease-to-Own is one of the platform’s six product families.

  • LTOLease-to-Own
  • LTBLease-to-Bundle
  • LTELease-to-Elect
  • LTFLease-to-Forward
  • LTLLease-to-Liquidity
  • LTULease-to-Use

What OWN does there

Access and utility are different.

Access

500,000,000 OWN

Evergreen, held by BitLease Capital Ltd as the access inventory.

The platform draws OWN for the access offer from this inventory, and from no other source.

Utility

400,000,000 OWN

The Utility Reserve, held by BitLease Technology Ltd, the platform operator.

The Utility Reserve funds platform utilities such as discounts. A service creates an eligible use, and the use creates a clear benefit for the person using it.

OWN’s beginning is fixed. Its field of useful applications can keep growing.

Plan terms, prices and eligibility belong to BitLease. Read them at BitLease.

The Evergreen model

Evergreen is the part of the case that supplies access. 500,000,000 OWN, half of the supply, went to BitLease Capital Ltd as a dedicated inventory for the platform’s OWN access offer, offered by Lease-to-Own.

It had no lock or vesting at Genesis.

The Special Deal model

OWN access is a Special Deal. A Special Deal is an offer with its own fixed terms, issued for a defined period, audience or capacity. A sponsor or Lessor commits the inventory and carries the risk, and the offer runs on the same platform infrastructure as any other. The person taking part keeps the same protections, however the offer is funded.

49G

BitLease Technology Ltd and BitLease Capital Ltd are companies of the 49G group. The 49G instruction named the Genesis recipients, and the Foundation’s Council gave it effect by its own resolution.

What it shows

The first Lease-to-Own token is in place and open to check. A clear start, a fixed token, a Lease-to-Own operator and a record: those four are enough to follow. Another company can bring its own shares, with a different token and a different offer, and take the same road.

Late sun runs gold across rolling green fields of wheat, with a lone grain elevator among the hills.

Ownership starts the same way for everyone.

Bring your business to LTO, and let people own a part of it over time, one installment after another.
